I think the rainout loss to ULL was our first midweek loss since 2011. That's insane

ETA: first midweek loss in the three years I've been at LSU

Greg record.

Imo, LSU clearly had the best team in college baseball in 2013. The best team doesn't always win the CWS, though.

If I had one criticism, it would be the hitting approach the team took in Omaha. They kept swinging at those high fastballs, and that was a recipe for disaster.

I don't think Mainieri will make that mistake again, though.

College baseball is better when ASU and LSU is on top.

This was NOT a coaching strategy. Mainieri talked about his frustration with that specific problem the entire series.

I have never seen a team attack that many pitches high in the zone. I can understand thinking it was an intentional part of the gameplan.

Oh sure. the team just made it a strategy to start swinging at every high fastball they saw.

Why pick that date? Why not go back earlier where we are even more over .500?

Unless I'm missing something

What are they since the game the 23 game winning streak began?

I picked that date because it's when LSU got hot to end the 2011 season. Before that date they sucked in 2011 and were pretty bad in 2010. So the win percentage wouldn't be as good.

Do y'all even remember breakfast?
