I like sha Sha's downtown and Steamboat bills (by I-10 bridge) for seafood. Chastains has good oysters. Darrell's shrimp smammich-boy is tasty.

The pizza/Italian place on Ruth street in sulphur is underrated (cant remember the name). Good NY style pizza.

Old Novrozskys building? Yeah, don't ever eat anything out of that building. Trust me.

Chastain's for seafood. Great oysters, raw and fried. Decent blackened red snapper. Good gumbo.

Mazen's for steaks.

Steamboat Bill's will, if it hasn't already been mentioned, will show up in this thread. It's decent but it's way overpriced for what you get.

Darrell's is good. The jalapeño mayo is awesome.

You can get some great plate lunches at Ball's Fried Chicken. Not sure how much seafood they serve though.

I've heard more negative reviews than positive about A-Mazen's seafood. I've never eaten there so I can't say how good it is personally.

Too bad Nina P's is down for now. They have some great stuff.

Just my suggestion, but I'd head to Chastain's on Ryan if you're looking for seafood, like I mentioned. Good fried crab claws too.

It's aggressively terrible.

one of the only buffets ive actually enjoyed and went back to.

they used to have a little meat market and cafe called the Sausgae Link, I think in Sulphur. I never see it mentioned but they have good stuff. They have a differnt plate lunch everyday and when you catch them on gumbo days it's pretty damn good. Some days it will be seafood and other it will be chicken and sausage.

Sausage Link is still solid, it's on Hwy 90. He opened a new restaurant/meat market at Exit 20 called LeBleu's Landing. Hollier's bbq (locally called Big Meat Wednesday) buffet on Wednesday is very good and Thursday is pork chop day (fried, grilled and smothered) on the buffet. Mr. Hollier is opening a new Hollier's at exit 23 on the north side of I10 next to McDonalds, looks like it will be ready in a month or so.
