What's the consensus on the International Beer Festival at Champions Square? Debating if it's worth spending $40/ticket or not since I have that Saturday open. Just want to get some opinions on it.

I might be wrong, but I thought I read on here that it wasn't really worth it.. nothing special there.

to me, not worth it. its basically the distro houses putting out all their stuff.

homebrews are the only reason i really ever go to these things. i know all about the beer these guys market, and i have better shite at home, or i have had it already.

Looks like 4Hands is going to be there. I went to their brewery this weekend for an event. It's a local St Louis craft brewery. Their Chocolate Milk Stout is delicious.

Heard that last year it sucked pretty hard. Agree that not having home brewers really hurts it. I won't be attending.

Hmm, no homebrews does suck. Looking at pictures from last year, looks like too many people in too small of a space.

I went last year. Will not go again. It's a for profit event.
And it needs to be said again. Fck paying $8 in ticketmaster service charges for a $40 ticket.

I will go to the Avenue Pub that day and drink correctly.
Looking forward to WYES, craft beer week, and the City Park beer event(can't think of the name for now).

not worth the money at all, and almost every beer there is easily found at a decent beer bar

New Orleans on Tap I think is what it's called, but yeah that's it.
Not the best beer in the world, but the setting and charity aspect is nice.

Save your money for WYES beer tasting. Cheaper, homebrews, and money goes to public television.
