a friend recommended another friend his favorite restaurant in SoCal while on vacation. Guy proceeds to eat there, gets food poisoning, spends 2 of 3 days in hotel. Gets back to town, goes off on other buddy, says he ruined his trip, blah blah blah, naturally I'm caught in middle.

Told my buddy who got sick he's being full retard, but he's the kind of dude who draws lines in the sand and rarely backs away.

Does anyone on here think the buddy with good intentions owes the other anything for bad food recommendation at the spot he ate. 99.99% sure he got sick from this restaurant.

Well yeah he should direct his hate towards the restaurant, but the friend recommended it so you can't ignore that.

Sounds like a bitch move to hold friend responsible for the restaurant.

Did the friend prepare the food? If not he needs to stop being a little bitch.

You need to ditch the friend who got food poisoning. Seriously this is going blame his friend for getting at a resturant he recommended? What kind of a fricking idiot thinks like this?

Sick friend can give the other friend a hard time. That's about it. Sick friend sounds like a douche to blame the other friend and be seriously pissed off.

It sounds like the logic of a female, to be honest.

Only if the buddy was cooking or handling the food.

Cross contamination and poor food handling in general can happen anywhere. All it takes is one lone dingleberry to make everyone sick. Can't put that on the buddy, although I'll say this. Its yet another reason to be very snobby with where you elect to go and put stuff in your mouth. And pick based on what you see as people who take food very seriously rather than the trendy spot with lots of TVs on the walls or whatever other side attraction or gimmick in play.

That's what I told him. Give him shite but holding a legitimate grudge is fricked in the head. Now he's pissed at me but I'm from Louisiana so...my other buddy who recommended the spot told me he lost sleep over the deal, which I then responded stop being a Beta, so he's pissed at me too

Shite happens. Food poisoning can happen to anyone, at 5-star restaurants as well as mom and pop joints.

The guy who got sick has no reason whatsoever to get angry with the guy who recommended the restaurant. What kind of an a-hole is that? And please show him this thread.

tell him he's wrong one time, and then your part is done, so out of it from there.
