No way that's true and the crew didn't notify the airline

Well, if they had a cockpit electronics failure then they may not have been able to notify the airline

I've always wished there was a parachute option on planes.... Screw exit aisle for emergency landing, if there is any option of crash.... I would rather take my chances skydiving with a chute

Yea, honestly I can't see that either. If they were safe on the ground the major news outlets would have jumped all over it.

Well, if you managed to escape the tumbling plane you wouldn't ever be able to pull the cord due to hypoxia

Yep, now saying the report of landing is false LINK

Hope they are OK, I can't imagine a much worse horror than being in a plane crash

This thing disappeared without a trace. Nothing will be found. Hundreds of boats and planes have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle region and no one knows what happened to passengers and crew to this day. There are still many things out there that we are clueless about.

I really wish I didn't read this thread. I'm 35000 feet above the Gulf of Mexico right now....

just sit back and enjoy the flight. Grab another drink. if you've still got wi-fi they still have you on radar.

I'm sorry, I'm not a pilot, have never once seen one of these charts, but was able to discern the complicated categories of time, feet, and speed and can tell when something changed. Next time, I'll try to draw something with crayons for the Ole Miss crew.

You may be next to cross on over. Lots of energy vortexes out there.

China's state-run Xinhua News Agency said the flight lost contact and its radar signal as it was flying over the Ho Chi Minh air traffic control area in Vietnam.

If this was on radar somewhere, wouldn't they know pretty quickly if it exploded with all the debris registering?

If Air France Flight 447 was found, this one will be too. Anyways, according to flightaware data, it should have been over land. I think

could turn into one of those mountain crashes like the 1972 Andes flight disaster and cannibalism

I was on a plane that had a very rough landing arriving into Atlanta once. Came down really hard and immediately had to pull up to take another pass. Scared the shite out of everyone on board. Death always feel so close when flying.
