For at least five years, the woman’s body lay clothed in a winter jacket in the backseat of her Jeep in the garage of a home where she lived alone.

Her bills were automatically deducted from her bank account, and residents of the quiet middle-class Pontiac, Mich. neighborhood said they noticed nothing amiss.

Nobody saw her, but the grass was cut and the mail didn’t pile up. Some neighbors said they thought she had moved out of the country after the recession hit several years ago.

Just a tidbit because the OP is a lazy jerk.

Yeah, I was reading about this earlier on CNN. I don't care how long or often my neighbor is out of town, I'd definitely realize that I hadn't seen them in 6 years

She would've been discovered earlier if she had a dog for the cops to come shoot.

I wonder what she did for a living. I can't imagine a person not having one single relationship to where someone would noticed.

She must have had a lot of money in her account (obviously), which would be spent up a lot slower if you're only paying house bills. No need to buy groceries, clothes, gas, etc. if you're dead!

These stories are always crazy, here's another article

9 People Who Were Found Dead ..

quote:

The remains of a woman were found sitting in front of her TV - 42 years after she was reported missing. Hedviga Golik, who was born in 1924, had apparently made herself a cup of tea before sitting in her favorite armchair in front of her black and white television set. Croatian police said that she was last seen by neighbors in 1966, when she would have been 42 years old. Her neighbors thought she had moved out of her flat in Zagreb.
