How would yall feel about drafting one of the "big" tight ends in an early round instead of drafting a WR in an early round? Payton could scheme up some 2 TE sets. And we could always just use Jimmy as a WR and keep our new TE and watson/hill on the field and that would lead to nightmares for defenses

In the next couple of rounds i think we should draft Oline (center) (or get a center in FA) and maby later on in the draft take a WR that has a high ceiling (a la colston in the 7th). (Get a CB in FA. And try to get J Maclin if we can).

The rest of the draft we should get rob ryan some new toys. And draft a kicker in the 7th

I think that this offense would be unstoppable if we added a JG like tight end and J Maclin and improved our line

Replacing our old RBs would be nice as well. I would like to draft one of jeremy hill or d'anthony thomas/archer

issue 1: jimmy still can't block and watson is a serviceable receiver. He keeps himself in great shape and he can still get open. Issue is that, you need a blocker at times and JG being on the field results in something like 70-80% passes. Too predictable.

issue 2: Still no receiver that can do everything which this offense really needs to take some pressure off JG.

Started a thread about this very same idea a while back in January. Was not received very well at the time, but this was before all the hoopla started about Jimmy's money demand. Still think this may happen with all the uncertainty with what is going to happen with Jimmy.

iggles already signed Maclin, and i brought it up in the past. It wouldn't be a terrible idea, but i think we have bigger issues and needs. The thing with another TE is it clogs the middle, and we have no one on the outside beside Colston.

I want any big pass catcher. I also really want to replace jimmy with one of these guys if we got an extra couple of early round picks Because I feel that they can replicate ENOUGH of Graham's success in this offense to justify moving him, if that gets you yet 2 picks and the ability to sign at least 2 starters in FA

Same here. I really would like to get this guy in a mid round. I think he's going to be very good in the NFL.

Frankly, I'm tired of not really having a game breaking WR. Colston is really a go to guy, but he's not running away from anyone. We need speed, not more possession honestly.

Yea, I know he isn't proven yet but hopefully Joe Morgan can develop into a solid burner. I think Stills is faster than a lot of people think also.

reasoning I used in that thread-

- you create a Gronk/Hernandez-like monster for teams to contend with
-Payton would go nuts with this play designing
-It gives you an alternate plan if you don't like where Jimmy Graham negotiations are going. You put them together for a year. If Amaro or Ebron turns out to be all you expect then re-signing Graham to a deal in 2015 becomes optional. Keep the duo going forward OR let the new guy be THE guy (at rookie contract price) and trade Graham with a replacement in place.

Im talking about just making jimmy a WR and drafting a new TE and then jimmy will be our main wr. We could still call him a TE and create some crazy awesome occasional 2 TE plays tho

We don't have a 7th.

I believe we could wait until the 2nd or possibly the 3rd and still get a good TE.
