Melo to the Bulls? Would this be a good fit? Could Melo play under Thibs? Melo doesn't play much defense, not sure how this would work.

I was hearing they would have to make some room for him..I believe Taj Gibson gets paid around 9 mil a year...so they would have to trade him to create some cap space.

if they amnesty Boozer, I think they can sign him outright (though they still might need a few mil). after that I guess use exceptions to fill out the roster.

If Thibs can make Marco Belinelli and Nate Robinson play defense, I'm sure he can get Melo to play defense.

Would be a good piece in a sign and trade to get Melo to Chicago.

Melo would definitely have to adjust his game to fit with the Bulls, but he would have to do that anywhere if he wants to win a ring. Wouldn't this be tampering on the Bulls end?

Is it legal if it's under the guise of a trade? Since that was right around the deadline, is that more lenient saying "we may be trying to trade for you, how would you feel about that? I know usually you don't speak to the players about it, but it probably comes up

If this did happen, the biggest question would be the health (physical and mental) of Rose.

I think Thibs is a good enough coach to corral Melo. Plus the atmosphere of the bulls organization might be enough to shape up Anthony.

If they pitched to Melo, it is illegal unless the Knicks gave permission, which I'm sure the certainly did not.

Video of Broussard discussing it

cliffs:

- came from one of Broussard's sources
- Noah pitched the idea to Melo, not really the team doing it (and of course he'd deny it because that's tampering)
- only scenario proposed is the Boozer amnesty and trading Dunleavy (3 mil next yr) to sign Melo as a FA, though that would still have Melo taking a pay cut from what he could get in a max deal
- some mention of Lebrahhhhn and Melo rivalry because Broussard has to work in a mention of Lebrahhhhn in everything he does

I heard this speculation a few weeks back (Melo to Chi) forget who said it on Lebatards radio show.

Anyway, they said Thibs could be done in Chicago making this move more likely.

Why the Bulls would change coaches is beyond me, but that's what dude said.

that's just ridiculous

As for Melo, not sure how I feel about it just yet. The defense doesn't bother me. Thibs can get him to play D. It's the chemistry on offense when Rose comes back that bothers me.
