If you have the ability to afford the $1500 explorder program (likely with another exchange option to send in old model for new one later down the line), do you opt in and buy Google Glass? Does anyone here feel like they'd have practical use for it to use it on a close-to daily basis?

I'm not interested in any "F That! I'd rather spend 1500 on a ps4 or an xbone or a pc or a tablet or blah blah"?
Ive gto the ps4, bone and pc already.

So...to glass or not to glass?

Interesting in theory.

Stick out like a sore thumb in reality.

It sort of feels like you're asking us if you should join a cult

For me to justify buying it just for shits n giggles, I'd have to be making enough money that $1,500 is like a weekly entertainment budget. Otherwise, hell no.

This is pretty much my feeling. If you have the extra money, go for it OP. seems like it could be a cool toy

I'd say my sports season budget is roughly 1500 to 2000, but this year I got lucky and baseball season tickets fell into my lap. So the expense of baseball for the entire season has now been reduced to $0 + food.

One way or another I'll end up spending it some some form of random tech. I figured google glass was the one area of my tech addiction that hasn't been touched yet. So its essentially "expendable income" since it was already set aside for baseball shenanigans.

Ive got a few days left on my explorer invitation. Maybe I should just flip a coin.

I almost bought an invite off eBay for $20 to buy a pair, but I put that money into my PC. If I had $1500 to spend freely again, I'd definitely grab a pair

The consumer version of Glass that will be arriving later this year will be less than half the price of the Explorer edition.

A lot of money and don't see the point other than being able to say that I google glass

What does it offer that you need or would actually use?

Wait for the consumer edition. Your patience will be rewarded.
