Ok so I've never actually done a shoulder mount before. Never had one I cared enough to spend the money. I know the deer is very narrow but I like its mass and height. I will not be in this house much longer so I'm looking probably at a more straight forward mount or one with only minor turn. Any suggestions on what I should be looking for to make this thing look its best.

Always upright with a slight right or left turn IMO

something like this

Pick either right or left for whatever will show the rack best in the location it will be on the wall

ETA: I hate sneak mounts FWIW

Nice deer!

My first sholder mount in at the taxidermist now, I originally was going to go with semi sneak, but posed the same question on the OB and decided to go upright with a left turn as it truly shows the size of the deer.

I'd go semi upright with slight turn. Just hope you can find a place in your new home that will work with the direction of the turn you chose.

One ear back will probably make him look a little wider

I tried to do that with mine but he had to much stuff to show off. Kicker on right, crossing main beams, and two unique points on the left. Had to do a straight on mount. Got it back this morning and im as pleased as I could be. where I wanted to put him in the house I would have had his head turned and the kicker would have been hidden

His right side is easily his strong side. Much better g4 and a kicker on his g2. Should I have him turning toward the left, so the right is more prominent or do I have that backwards. Actually pretty stupid on this stuff. Didn't even think to score him. Just got back into deer hunting a couple years ago. This was my third year in a pretty much all archery zone after something like a 15 year break.
