All I have to say is wow. That guy is a game changer. Very quick considering his size. Seems like another Terrence Magee. He could probably gain 10 pounds and be another ideal Miles running back. Can't wait to see this guy in purple and gold if indeed he chooses LSU. He also seems to love the game and has a great work ethic. Merritt will continue to be a board favorite. Thoughts?

Don't really get the Magee comparison, but yeah, Merritt is a beast.

Is he more a Terrence Magee, Buster Davis or Skyler Green? Josh Reed anyone?

It would be ashame to not put that 45" vertical to use as a WR. I like the Josh Reed angle more than Magee or Paleili.

he's a little bigger at this point in their career, but maybe a brandon taylor that's a little more versatile and athletic.

is he more than likely playing offense in college?

Yes, from what I've read. I hope he stays home and chooses to play for the good guys.

*Last time I wrote the above sentence, Ducre committed the next day...fingers crossed*

I honestly don't see it at rb. With hard work I definitely could see him playing wr. What position is he being recruited as?

Am I crazy or could he bulk up a little more and be a monster LBer?

A week ago, I wouldn't have thought of him as an RB, but at the Nike event last weekend, he weighed in at 206. I was surprised, as I had previously seen him in the 180 range. When I saw his weigh-in, I began to think he might be growing into an RB who can also line up wide in certain sets.

He was a rb at Newman. I like him at wr. He's physical, he can block, he's quick, and he can out jump anyone.

In terms of body type and the question of whether he now projects at WR or RB, he kind of reminds me more of Josh Reed.

Merritt is a pure athlete and without a doubt can play multiple positions. I honestly see him ending up at running back at the college level, though based on his size. Either way, he is an absolute want in my opinion. Happy for this kid and wish him the best of luck.

He's blowing up fast. Gonna be a tough one to hold onto I would think. He's got a lot of schools that will be coming at him hard. Let's hope we can keep him in state. I'm not sure of who he likes at the moment. Maybe someone with inside info can enlighten us.

His dad posts on here. That has to be good for the most part. I know he wants to play in the SEC. I don't know much about his likes, but some think Florida is a player. They offered him and teammate smith at the same time.

By the way, Destrehan's main running back is Will Matthews and although he does not have prototypical size, he's a baller. Ask anybody who has seen him play.
