Giving up facebook for lent

I'm kind of embarrassed by how much I mindlessly check this dumb thing. It's almost just a subconscious ritual. I'm partially ready to just bail on it completely, but don't want to be all attention whorish and make some fruity "goodbye" post. So I think I'm gonna delete the mobile app tonight, delete it from the bookmarks and just stay away from it, using lent as an excuse.
Anybody ever leave social media? Is it difficult? Do you cease to exist in the virtual world?

I should give TD up for lent, would be tougher than giving up liquor.......maybe not tougher equally difficult.

You know, I honestly have no excuse. You're probably right... I wouldn't think I'm hooked on it; I just mindlessly click on it. It's weird. I don't know what compels me.

I gave up TV, internet, and the radio one Lent. Best decision ever.
