My uncle lives in Ponchatoula. His neighborhood and especially his yard is being torn up by hogs. His hood is off the first exit into on 55 N going into Ponchy. Go east a little way and turn south. He is on a dead end road where basically the woods start.
He used to hunt quite a bit but has slowed down due to age.
He says the hogs are coming at night and he has tried to stay up but has not seen any. Some of the neighbors have gotten a few but his yard seems to be a staging area. He has tried a trap with no luck.
Any OBers want to lend a hand?

That sounds like my neighborhood. However, all I can offer is to bring the beer and sit out there all night with a spotlight and a rifle. I'm sure the Ponchy PD wouldn't be too happy firing it at night though.

Damn. I know a guy or two that may help him. I don't really have time but don't live far.

I'll ask how the neighbors have dispatched some. Not sure. He probably would buy the beer if someone would sit up and get a few. What about a bow / crossbow?
Silencer on a pistol better.

I haven't had any problems, but my entire back yard is fenced in. My front yard isn't very large. I'd be glad to lend a hand if needed.

I'm in east Ponchy. He off of Weinberger, or still in city limits?

Where exactly does the city limits end? I live off Weinberger, but only blocks from the middle school.

I own a rent house just before Selser's creek in Creekside subdivision, and it's outside city limits. So the limits don't go too far east

He works at the fire station near there. Don't have his address.
985-507-8787, ask for Mr. Ernie. Nephew Dickie sent you. Explain how you got in touch. Say LSU friend and he will know.

I love smack dap on the Tangi/ St Tammany Parish line. I'd be down for an OBGT with beer and bullets to help Uncle Couyon.

Thanks for the help 4 and all others. I believe he does live off of the first street east of the first Ponchy I-55 exit all the way to the woods. I can't find his address.
He is a great guy. Not like an uncle but more a loving older brother. We are only 9 years apart and he took me hunting when my dad wasn't able. He used to make Jambalaya at the Strawberry fest every year but hasnt in awhile.
Thanks, guys. This is what the OB is about.....

If this had been posted two weeks ago I would've gone down and dispatched a few of them.
