John Carter...is it that bad? Is it worth a free viewing?

Most people here will tell you that it was very underrated.

I've seen it twice, and it's a pretty good film.
It was just a little flawed, with a horrific ad campaign.

It was very much in the style of a 80's or 90s adventure film. Back when we weren't a jaded culture. It is closer to the style and substance of Indiana Jones than Crystal Skull.

It comes on Spike next weekend. I saw the commercial and became interested.

IDGAF what anyone says, I love that fvcking movie. I watch it all the damn time. I wanna go to Barsul and show them punks white folks got hops too!

Sucks it bombed so bad they won't be able to make a sequel! Tooooons of potential with the way it ended.

I thought it was a good action movie. I didn't understand the marketing strategy, I originally had no interest in seeing it but once I watched it I enjoyed it

Problem when it came out was that so many other movies had incorporated the ideas on the screen already that the illiterate masses thought this was the ripoff. This was actually the impetus for many blockbusters. It took so long to make it, it suffered because of it.
