Am I missing something? Why are teams able to mug LSU down low, especially O'Bryant, but LSU barely touches the opponent and a foul is called?
That is not why LSU lost today! Florida is as advertised and Donovan is by far the best coach in the SEC including Calipari. But the refs are making it tough on LSU by taking away their strengths. This has been a trend all year. I know there are new rules preventing hand checking around the perimeter, but I was unaware that you can knock a player around under the basket like a pinball and get away with it!

In the poster's defense, he said he understood it wasn't a reason why LSU lost.
FWIW, I also agree that the blatant mugging of LSU versus calling LSU players for clean plays was both obvious and indefensible.

Mickey's second foul on the blocked shot was horrible. Florida would have beaten any team in the country today. Refs sucked all game for both teams but Florida did get away with a lot of cheap ones under the basket.

I agree with him, Florida did rape JOB III a few times with no calls but when one of those tiny Fla guards drove the lane, whistles were being blown like sailors on leave

Ref's are inconsistent in general The day they allow refs to make this a full time job, with a boss that can fire them, a rating system by coaches that is part of their annual review and AD's given the power to black list at least one ref from their games every year
