What are some less obvious things to do? I hear this place is badass, Ms. DS is trying to talk me into moving there so we're going to go visit for a few days in the next month or two.

Drive up to La Jolla (Or take a bus if you don't have a car) and see a sunset.

Touring the Aircraft carrier is cool if you've never done that as well.

Gaslamp for good food/drinking

Kids involved? Looking to get your Techno or Hip Hop on

Windansea Beach and downtown La Jolla. Go to Georges on the Cove

Hotel Del for Sunset Cocktails. Peohes on Coronado

Zoo is great. Check out Carlsbad.

Blacks Beach for hang gliding

Tower 23 in Pacific Beach. I suggest you stay at that hotel and rent beach cruisers

BBQ at Phils in Point loma.

La Lucha Libre for burritos

Yea SE Diego isnt the spot

Stay at Hard Rock or Andaz in Gaslamp if thats on your budget so you can walk to the Padres Game and take the Ferry to Coronado

Then stay at Tower 23 the other days to experience the beach area

Pretty much sums up Diego

Due to heightened security concerns I don't want Draconian Sanctions near any of our military installations
