I am a high school teacher, and I do have many knuckleheads and a few thugs (most have been expelled by now), but I also have the pleasure to teach some great young people.

Yesterday, one of my young ladies brought me a homemade king cake, which was fantastic! It was filled with cream cheese and was moist....I friggin' teach Betty Crocker! Awesome!

I appreciate that I don't hate my job. There is something to be said for not dreading going and leaving smiling. The pay isn't bad either.... That probably helps.

Pay day, doesn't matter if you make minimum wage or a millionaire. Pay day rocks.

Annual company holiday party to nice destinations, all expenses paid for me and a guest

Consistent industry leading quarterly bonuses

Paid insurance premiums

Taxes done by a CPA firm are paid

Work from home every Friday and several full weeks a year

In addition to pto, the entire company shuts down for the two weeks around Christmas and new years.

Awesome and smart people to work with.

Not having a micromanaging boss.

If I get my shite done, it doesn't matter if I take a 2 hour lunch or leave after lunch of Friday.

I had a micromanaging boss before that was a stickler about in-office hours. Worst thing ever.

High School teacher here too. I love the time off, benefits, and watching my students grow into adults.
