We used to live down there in the early 90's....I have heard that it isn't even a possibility anymore. Worse thing that happened to us was getting our fern stolen....Guessing that would be the best thing that could have happened to us now.....

Bluebonnet/Nicholson south of LSU is building up nicely. Gardere is cleaning up.
My guess is some big wigs figured increasing the property value would force the ghetto into North BR.
Who knows?

I would love to see the Gardere area make a comeback as the college housing - young first time homeowners area it was intended to be. It died the first time because Burbank wasn't developed enough to handle the traffic flow and Section 8 showed up. Of course, at this point the existing structures are well beyond repair and the area would literally have to be flattened and rebuilt. It will be interesting to watch that area over the next ten years.
