Who wins and why boxing fans. This should be an entertaining fight with Alvarez winning by decision Imo.

Hopefully Alvarez can get back to top for after his first loss of his career.

I think either showtime or hbo will be doing the pre fight shows for both camps

Canelo should be good as long as Angulo isn't allow to load up the gloves with quickrete

I believe Canelo will win with a late KO. Angulo will be outmatched and overpowered the whole fight and get worn out towards the end.

i believe it was Richardson that discovered that in the dressing room. I had a discussion the other day on what if he hadn't caught that? How many more men would likely have been beaten down by him?

You're confusing Angulo with Antonio Margarito.

Loaded gloves or not, Cotto-Margarito I is still one of my favorite fights during my lifetime.

ETA: As for Angulo-Alvarez, I expect it to be a very competitive fight. I can see either fighter winning.

Here's what Erislandy Lara did to his face:

It's too bad that happened, whether it was caused by a thumb or not. I think Angulo would've gone on to win the fight.

Damn, angulo's fricked up face and margarito's loaded gloves got me twisted up.

And still lost a decision. Margarito ruined Cintron in 08 with a great body shot. LINK

Would make for an interesting rematch. I don't think either could come close to Canelo though. He's too experienced and fast.

Canelo wins without much of a problem. Can't believe this card is on PPV.....it's really a shame.

I do not think it should be ppv at all. In no way is angulo on that level but golden boy is banking that the name will carry them to a decent pay day.

Interesting tidbit: golden boy promotes both fighters, so there's that.

El Perro is nowhere near the top of the division but it would appear they're setting up either a rematch with Mayweather or a match with Lara.

The rematch with Mayweather is a possibility but that won't happen until maybe Floyd's last fight in September 2015, if at all. Then they can play the "Floyd is old and Canelo is in his prime" angle. The first time around people knew Canelo was a little too young and inexperienced.

As far as Lara, I think Golden Boy wants to keep Canelo as far away from him as possible. It's one of those high risk-low reward fights. Carlos Molina or even Peter Quillin is more likely. Golden Boy will give Canelo as many favorable matchups as they can to keep building the hype.

Yessir, Canelo is definitely the show pony in Golden Boys stable. I don't believe that a fight with Lara will happen any time soon and yet again we, boxing fans, will be robbed of a real matchup in favor of promotional politics.

Golden Boy is the new Don King.

I'll be thankful to Golden Boy for a long time for giving us Mayweather-Alvarez, Garcia-Matthysse, and Broner-Maidana last year. Those were three of my most-wanted fights, and they made them all happen. They weren't protecting any of their top fighters; they were giving fans what they wanted.

Re: Alvarez-Angulo, I'll definitely be rooting for Angulo. Especially after watching All Access.
