I ran across one at Ralphs the last two days. This last time I got to wait out front while the wife spent all my money and watch this guy asking people to sign. It was about 5pm I guess.

1. About half the people signed or said they'd already signed. The people I saw sign were older people and a few 30ish year old guys.

2. A few guys and one lady balked pretty hard at the guy when he asked them to sign. One guy flat out screamed at him. He handled it well.

When we left I commented to him that the petition volunteer job looked much harder than I thought it'd be. I'm surprised folks were openly hostile about it. He probably got 8-10 signatures in the 10-15 minutes I watched him. Based on his results and as long as this petition drive has been going on they've got to be getting close to the 18,000+ they need to get it on the ballet I would think?

Well once they got near the 10,000 mark, they stopped releasing the official # of signatures. While it may be legal to do so, You should wonder why it's necessary.

At least they're no longer using the fire department to push this ballet initiative.

Let's hope not. Just when BR is really on an upswing these St. George secessionist fools will turn Baton Rouge into a total shite hole in a few years and what happens to anything that comes near a black hole?

I told that guy I would never sign that petition. I had to bite my lip so I wouldn't get into an argument with him

Baton Rouge will turn Baton Rouge back. Is it nice to take money from other people and spend it on yourselves? Thats basically what is happening.

Or in other words, if they leave, Baton Rouge will turn itself into a total shite hole in a few years. If St. George doesn't incorporate, will it prevent BR's shite hole future, or simply delay it?

I guess you people like bankrupt, corrupt cities and politicians don't ya'll?

Or you're black and just have been race baited so much by the mayor and the esteemed councilman Delgado?

Or both.

Move to Port Allen and have everything you desire.

What's funny Is all we wanted at first was our own woodlawn school district. If they would have allowed it this wouldn't have gotten this far. We are tired of getting fricked and our tax money being abused

Campaign strategy. Watch how much money gets spent by the opposition once they reach the required signatures.
