Well once they got near the 10,000 mark, they stopped releasing the official # of signatures. While it may be legal to do so, You should wonder why it's necessary

Two theories:

1. The movement is losing steam and they're not as close to getting the requisite amount as they hoped they would be at this point. Therefore they stopped releasing the numbers so as to not continue to give the opposition the argument that many in the area don't want the incorporation take place

2. The opposition will likely grow more boisterous the closer they get to the magic number. Therefore, in order to calm the flames so to speak, they are simply just leaving the opposition in the dark on the status.

???

WTF does that mean?

Once again you've proven you have a reading comprehension problem. (Which explains a lot about your SG hysterical posts.)

No, but made one of their people move a sign that blocked the view of traffic on Old Hammond.

True words never spoken. For or against St. George, this cannot be disputed.

I think it's your #1 because they have also changed their story on when they hope to get the initiative on a ballot. When they started the drive last September, they said they wanted it on the May, 2014 ballot with other elections.

Now they are saying they hope to have a vote on it before the end of this year.

DeeDee's recall petition took less than 3 months to get the 25% of voters signatures they needed to put the recall to a vote. For SG it's going on 6 months and counting.

It's going to be very difficult for them to get 50% of the votes if they are having this much trouble just getting 25% of the voters to sign. And several posters on the Poli Board have said they signed the petition to placate a fanatical friend or neighbor but plan on voting against it if it comes to a vote.

So not all voters who sign the petition will vote in favor of it.

What's funny Is all we wanted at first was our own woodlawn school district. If they would have allowed it this wouldn't have gotten this far. We are tired of getting fricked and our tax money being abused
The city of B R didn't have anything to do with woodlawn not getting their on school district. You might want to get Bodi to take that up with the school board and the state legislature.

How about we just fix the problems with our city instead of running away from them.....

There's no use using facts and reason with the SG supporters. Several of them on the Poli Board have even posted that Kip Holden can tell the EBR school board to give them what they want. Dense as titanium.....

That's not possible as long as this city is run by morons.

Honestly, I think it's a combination of both.

I'm not certain on the rules, but can the volunteers go door to door? IMO, the signature drive isn't going as well as they thought because signing the petition requires people to actively seek out a "signing venue" to do so. I think there are many people in the area who would gladly sign the petition, but aren't so fired up that they make the effort to actively seek out a place to do so. IIRC, the folks in PA went do-to-door to some extent to get signatures. Again, correct me if I'm wrong on that.

How many voters have chosen not to sign the petition as of yet, perhaps based on the blatant retaliatory tactics on display by the city/parish government officials?

Not all voters who have passed on the petition are against incorporation. They may well be counting on others to take that step and allow them to cast their ballots in favor if and election is called. And they may well decide to sign at a later date if it becomes apparent that the petition's success requires them to take a public stand in spite of bullying tactics by Delgado and others.

That he is. It's as if his main goal has been to incite anger with the St. George proponents by insulting them. He has offered no solution whatsoever to the main issue which is education in the public schools. I seriously think if the BR leadership would listen to what the other side has to say and at least attempt to offer solutions, this St. George thing would quickly go away.

North BR wont elect someone who is looking out for the greater good rather than just spending money on them.

Ask employees who live outside of the city or board members of the St. George Fire Department that question.

Obsessed much?
