He may be old but I'd be willing to bet my last pair of drawers that he knows more hoops than alot of the simple minded fricks on here

We have run some nice plays this evening BTW

Hubie is totally right. Problem is, far too often we get into our sets to late into the shot clock or we just have piss poor skill sets on the court together.

Whatever it takes to keep Tavares employed around here.

Hubie has the coolest voice in sports color analysis.

He does know a hell of a lot.

If he wasn't a hundred years old I wouldn't mind him coaching the Pelicans. May not win a championship but at least we'd have a fighting chance.

Maybe he could be an interim head coach when Monty gets fired after this road trip.

I thought it was interesting how he was going off on Tyreke and basically said Tyreke hasn't been getting as many minutes as he wants because he didn't fully accept the role most available to him of SF. He spoke about it with so much certainty I wonder if that was from a conversation with Monty rather than his own speculation.

They do. They just rarely have counters if those sets don't yield a shot.

Not disagreeing with you here, but this positional role talk is lunacy. SF, C, PF, SG, PG, whatever. Evans can be the third tallest player on the team and still run the offense. If you bring Evans on board to be captain the 2nd unit (btw how about Carlisle's rotations? "Starter" doesn't matter if you're smart), it's with the understanding that he needs to be featured in an offense that fits his unique talents. Not watching Roberts or Rivers dribble the clock down from the corner.

With that said, this board's reaction to Evans is quite ridiculous. Did anyone pay any attention to his career in Sacramento? He is a wild card. His skill set is a tough fit for any team. The inconsistency we're seeing isnt news. He's a 3rd or 4th option, at best, on a good team. And Evans has been injured all year. There's a reason Sacramento was reportedly only willing to give him ~$8M/year.
