How does one get into the gaming industry?

After not playing Madden 13 and borrowing a friend's copy of Madden 25, I just feel as if I should do something. I love football and I love video games but something has got to be done about this franchise. Now I know this will warrant more of a "Waaah" thread but I cannot take it anymore. The amount of stuff missing from these games is astronomical and it blows me away that people still drop money on this title.

Well you could get into PR or if you want to get into the technical aspect, get a degree in computer programming.

I heard the casting couch can help with this.

I know EA here in Baton Rouge is hiring game testers. Try their website, under employment.

You can join the ranks of other code monkeys working under razor-thin budgets and unrealistic deadlines. You'll change the world.

Give 2K a call and tell them to start making football games again, college basketball too.

There is no doubt that is a job you couldn't do without passion and even then it's hard.

He will work there as a qa tester and his input will not change the game at all
I worked on madden 12 and 13. While testing madden 12 me and a few guys figured out how to rocket catch consistently and the developers "ks'ed" the bug..known shippable. Same thing with a handful of glitchy plays, crashes, and blitz's. He needs to pursue a degree in design to get into the development phase of it all most likely.
