To me, that just means players ask for more money.

Next year Kap and Wilson are up right?
According to the source the cap will jump like this again($10-12m+) so that means even more money for those guys because you know teams are going to go hard for them(Wilson especially).
Won't be surprised to see the get at least $25m per, maybe even up to $30m per.

More important is that the two top secondary guys for seattle are up. I think.

Yeah I think they have Wilson, Sherman, and Thomas all up next year.

Incorrect on my part. Wilson is up in 2016.
And while it may seem this would help a team keep a player, a cap bump actually works in reverse. It instead puts more teams in play for said player, driving up the price.
Kap is up next year, but for the Hawks in addition to Sherman and Thomas, Clemons, Avril, Robinson, Wright, Maxwell, and Smith are also all up. While those other names may not be as big, they are important pieces for them.
