I feel like the Ag Center issues this list of myths every year. I'm pretty sure I remember a post about it from a couple of years ago.

Also, quit dumping tony's on the crawfish after they have been removed from the pot.

That just gets grainy shite all over my hands and does little to actually season the crawfish (unless you eat the shells).

True purging is allowing the crawfish to play for 24 hours in fresh water. What's this salt nonsense?

I didn't mean to sound like an arse. This is just one of those yearly threads that I seem to remember. But you're right. There would not be a need if some people did not continue to perpetuate the myth.
