Can you all please come together and prove why LSU is better than Texas? UT guy at work has yet to understand my reasoning so I figured the Rant wouldn't mind helping. Please keep it "work safe" since I'll be sharing it with him at work.

Texas plays inferior competition and has inferior results to LSU in recent years.

LSU has a more recent National Championship.

A live Tiger >>>>>>> a live cow

Tiger Band is awesome. the tassels and Rogers & Hammerstein looking uniforms are gay.

They will always fall back on the argument that their athletic department brings in the most money which really means jack shite b/w the white lines.

First thing that comes to mind is "steers & queers"...

But, on a serious note, their football stadium looks like just another cliche Texas high school football stadium.

Our tailgating blows theirs away...they have an abnormal amount of homeless people (which is hard to pinpoint due to the amount of self-proclaimed hippies), they heralded in Case McCoy as if he was Colt and are surprised he didn't have the same impact, Vince Young has been gone for awhile but they talk about him as Bama fans revel in Bear Bryant, they call A&M little brother but play up the big brother role as much as possible, they killed a great tradition in the A&M-UT game by being jealous, our women are better.

In recruiting, we did just take Trey LMFAO and the Teuhema brothers from Texas.

Gotta disagree with the part about the women.

LSU has a much nicer campus all around, with gorgeous oak trees and green area to roam. UT is stuck in a shoe box for space. Our campus has everything centrally located, while there crap is spread out in a non-functional manner(parking lots and stadiums across I-35 with horrible access to anything because of said shoe box). Our facilities are much nicer and roomier. UT just renovates old small crap because they cannot expand and build new. They put lipstick on a pig, while we breed stallions. Overall, we have much fewer Walmart t-shirt fans and our fanbase is much more passionate than theirs. They play in a female conference where two hand touch is the preferred method for downing a player. We have won multiple national titles to their single title won by Vince Young. Our coaches raid their state for talent because we have a solid NFL producing program, while they recruit prima donnas and bloat there egos which handicaps their potential. We win, they lose. Our university isn't made up pf 70-80% Asians and Middle Easterners and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I grew up in Houston... I could go on for days. Tell him Texas needs a reality check and a trip to modern times. They have a much nicer city, which is fully admit and agree upon, and they have a much deeper winning history than us (pre-1990), but they continue to live in the past. Oh and tell your coworker to STTDB!

Herb,

Again that is in the very distant past. College athletics is a realm of "what have you done for me lately". UT's titles go way farther back which is why they have a deeper winning history than LSU, but post 1990, LSU has been the better program.

If you get pask DKR's wishbone titles, UT isn't what Whorns want other to think it is.

ETA: Texas had its glory days long ago. Most of Texas' success came when college athletics as a whole was in its elementary stages. Texas was one of the first programs to really have a great financial backing, which lead to their success in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, but once the rest of the nation joined the "arms race" of funding, facilities, and amenities, UT was ungulfed in the pack.

My sister a UT alum and even my parents think LSU has a better atmosphere. They'll never say it out loud, but they like coming to LSU games better.

1--TS is louder with less people
2--Our band plays more than two songs and a bunch of drum cheers
3--We don't have that stupid large drum
4--Way better live mascot
5--We don't tailgate in parking garages (oh, yes they do)
6--Our stadium doesn't have 5 names (and prob never will)
7--The Golden Girls
8--That Bourbon smell that wafts through TS during a game
9--My sister syas it's loudest place she's ever been
