I have heard it is very good. Has anyone on this board actually eaten there?

What say you?

It's been 15 years since I've eaten there. I thought it was good then. Kind of a sweeter sauce if I remember correctly.

If you like sweet sauce you'll love it. I think you can ask for a different sauce though

I like a sweet sauce as long as it is seasoned well.

Was born in Hammond and raised on Tommy's pizza.

Sweet sauce and decent ingredients.

Thinner pizza.

Whenever I return to see my family, we go there.

Not the best pizza in the world, but by far the best in Hammond.

Have eaten there since Tommy owned it...a friend of mine. His Mom & Dad really ran it back in those days. They were from Chicago...sweeter sauce. If you liked it, you loved, if you didn't like it, you hated it. We're in Hammond...choose your side! Not the same as then but I like it. They now offer different sauces...Can't comment. I like the sweet. Used to have fried chicken on the menu . Tommy's mom would turn it into jerky...order it medium rare and it was the best chicken you would ever eat .

That corner was my go to. Loved Tommy's pizza. When I lived there we had Tommy's on one side, Poboy shop on the other.

Last time I went it was 1/2 price pitcher night which was cool. Pizza was good but took a while to come out. Owner is a dbag I'm afraid.

Had to work in Hammond a while back. Pizza was good, sweet sauce as mentioned, buffalo breadsticks were good stuff too. Decent beer selection iirc, I think they had some Parish stuff.

Tommy's on Thomas is great. The old Tommy's on university was horrible. How that place didn't get shite down for how dirty it was I'll never know. They has raw sewerage running out the back of the kitchen, fricking nasty.

Two different owners by the way.

If the one on university was by trey yuen, then it's still the same owner.

James has owned Tommy's for twenty plus years.

It was sold to another person and was operated for a few years by that person before the building was torn down.
They then moved to a commercial space by the old schwgmanns building on south Morrison. That lasted maybe a year and is now commanders pizza.
