THIS.
Buffalo breadsticks and Luna Rosa FTW.

Luna rosa is badass. So much meat you only have to eat a couple slices. I usually eat bout half a large and miserable for a few hours.

We went last night. It was definitely different, but I really liked it.

FDL is nothing to write home about but you really liked Tommy's in Hammond. Your troll is showing.

my brother loved the spot while he was out at southeastern.

Shingo, read in context. Tommy's is not NYC pizzeria style pizza. It is different yet good. FDL is often compared to pizzeria style joints like mama Della's, which it is not. I think they are both good, but I would not "write home" about either place.

Tommy's is okay. Not bad. Not great. Probably third or fourth on my pizza places.
A tiny BBQ place in Indiana takes the #1 spot for pies.
I guess peppers in thib on a good night takes #2.
Uncle Johnnie's in plaquemine takes third with their shrimp cocktail pizza add Bacon.
Four is Tommy's.
What I really like is a true deep dish...but I haven't had a good one in years.
