Lost in the fray of the UK loss...basketball is in 7-way tie for 4th

Pete Rozelle would love it. 7 teams at 7-7.
SEC standings
Just for the hell of it I hope a bunch of teams end up at 9-9 just to see the league have to figure out the tiebreakers...

I didn't realize there was a 7 way tie for though at the moment. That's crazy. Maybe we can sneak into that 4th seed, win a few games, and then be dancing.

Going to be tough with A&M, at Florida, at Vandy, and Georgia at home. Would love to get the three besides Florida, but 2-2 might be more realistic

Likely right, but those other teams aren't the most consistent either. Having a almost sure loss to UF won't help the cause though. Gotta win the road game against Vandy if we are to do it.

I do'nt care if we finish 4th, or 2nd or 8th or whatever, and neither does the tourney committee.

Can't look bain sports, but I can't help but do so and bemoan all the what if's.
Worst case we should be 9-5 in conference right now and let's not even bring back up Rhode Island.

Tiebreakers are easy to figure out because you break it down piece by piece.
First it is record against same opponents. Then against the top seed in conference. Then the coin tosses begin

We are technically tied for 4th but if the season ended today we would be the 9th seed.
