Ukraine's parliament has voted to oust President Yanukovych

Yanukovych has fled the capital to an ethnic Russian enclave in eastern Ukraine. The capital of Kiev is now an open city. The national government has been deposed. LINK
LINK
Early today Yanukovych called the uprising a coup d'etat.
His next step will be to officially request Putin to send in security forces to restore the "legally elected" government.
Putin will send in tanks & helicopters under the pretense it is necessary to stop violence and save lives and to protect the ethnic Russians who are Ukrainian citizens.
He will also claim he has to protect Russia's interests regarding the billions of dollars Russia has loaned to Ukraine which Putin will claim was made only on behalf of the Yanukovych government.
And, of course, it will only be "temporary."
Obama will issue a strongly worded press release.

If Tymoshenko is as persistent as she is reputed to be, is she dead meat? She already has the protestors feeling pretty giddy.

She's been in prison for several years and she's ill. Probaly poisoned.

No oil. No care.
On that note are you advocating Obama send in ground troops to counter the Russian moves?
Because unless you are your stinger really has no point.
Oh wait...
...this is one of these type of threads.

Meh he threw out another pussy like red line the other day what more could he do?

The U.S. and the EU should let Putin know if Russia sends in the military, we will use force to protect the Ukrainian people.
But it's a moot point what I would do. Obama will play golf.

Hmm let's see, he threw out a pussy red line.
And the former leader of the Ukraine is now the former leader of the Ukraine.
hmmmm...nah.

So Obama caused that? He hasn't done anything on the world stage since his apology tour.

So you are advocating the use of combat troops in what is currently at most a regional issue...a region we aren't remotely involved in.
Interesting.
Of course since we have no oil to protect I wonder what your motivations are. And further, why we would even bother...in your opinion.

Didn't say that.
Simply noticed it.
:-).
Other then saying good job. We have no business or interest in the Ukraine.
No oil.
No care.

Either we support democracy or we don't. I support it.

Did you miss out on the memo that we cannot nation build...re:Iraq?
I mean if you are for using our combat forces to establish standing democracies in every nation in the world, hell we are going to be busy, if you are trying to right the wrongs of the world by the sword, once again, we are going to be busy.
You cannot give freedom to the oppressed, they have to take it themselves.
So far so good in the Ukraine.
If the Russians come rumbling across the border, I'd expect to see the Ukrainian army get involved...
...but once again...we have no dog in this fight.

Trying to figure out what Syria has to do with the Ukraine.
Oh wait...nothing.
Being this obsessed is not healthy. Go have a beer or something.

Coward.
Indeed. Because I'm tired of sending my countrymen to die in some shitty place for no reason other then a politician says he should.
If you want to help keep the Russian hordes out...that's easy.
Get on a plane and fly to Kiev.
Put your arse where your mouth is.
I bet you won't...but like every warchicken...you are always happy to send someone else to do your fighting for you.

We both know who failed in Iraq. I will give you a hint...he's got a W in his name somewhere.
