Okay, I've narrowed it down to a list of possible candidates. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

1. Benelli Montefeltro, 28", 12 ga: my only issue is they only have two left and both are display guns. I hate paying sticker for display. And they are on 45 day backorder.

2. Winchester SX3, 26", 12 ga, Walnut Stock: This one can be ordered and takes a week or so.

3. Browning Silver Hunter, 12 ga: This one can be ordered.

I REALLY like the Benelli, but it has been on display for months. Would you buy a display gun?

Thanks for your help, gentlemen.

I would get the Beretta, we have already talked about this and the overwhelming majority said Beretta.

Yeah, the A300 is still in the game. But, now the competition is different.

They just got a VersaMax Sportsman in today in Camo, but my brother has a VersaMax. I could always borrow his.

Yes, it was won at a NWTF banquet and came with a sling and turkey choke. I use it to turkey hunt so I wouldn't have to spend $ on a choke for my good shotguns.

It is the only 3.5" gun I own as well.

I started turkey hunting when 2 things happened in the same year
1. I won that gun
2. I acquired some land that is loaded with turkey

I now love to turkey hunt almost as much as duck hunting.

No, I don't sell guns. Not being rude but I sold a few when I was young and should have had my arse beat. I don't sell guns nor do I rent pigs.

I'm not trying to buy your gun. I'm asking is it worth it.

I bought my son the browning maxus and I love it and he does as well. Have you looked at them? I like it more than my Beretta and more than the Bennelli M2 I bought the other son. I let them both research what they wanted and then we went and handled them each prior to purchase. The browning points really natural and has a great feel.

The Montefeltro felt amazing in my hands. I just don't like buying display guns.

The Maxus might be a little out of my price range.

It seems like you are looking for an all round gun. I can't answer that question because I have never had mud in the SX# nor have I shot it very many times. I shoot it 2 to 5 times a year at turkeys and maybe 1 or 2 at targets.

The gun is flawless for what I have done with it. I love the gun but I haven't abused it in duck hunting situations nor have I shot it enough to form an opinion.

My Beretta cycles close to 4 cases a year

Id go with the benelli. I love my benelli but it's a sbe2. I don't see what's wrong with buying a display gun, it's not like it's been shot before. The bolts been pulled back a few times and it's got some fingerprints on it, that's not going to take away life from a benelli.

One of these is not like the others.

Of those three it isn't even a ball game. Seriously.

Being a display, there should be a little wiggle room. If not just give it a good once over and make sure there are any nicks or dings on it. If not you'll be good to go.

I have the SX3 in camo, 28". Had an SX2 before. This was my first season duck hunting with the SX3. I did not have a single hang up, but only shot 4 or 5 boxes at the most. I love the way it fits me.
