Another Trade Rumor: AR to Wiz PJ could be added

The #Pelicans, sources say, trying to move Austin Rivers, will add D-League sensation Pierre Jackson. I am told #Wizards among interested.

Jackson has resulted in quite a few calls to #Pelicans, but GMs I've spoken to worry about his size (5-8). Especially since he's not true PG

Would AR and Pierre for Martell Webster work with the DPE? At least in terms of salary

You can't combine the DPE with anything. It must stand alone in any trade. Basically it allows us to add a player of $4.1 million salary or less without sending the other team anything in return. A good way to acquire a player from a team that needs to get under the cap.

Pelicans: Asik, Webster
Wizards: Rivers, Morrow, Pierre's rights
Houston: Wilson Chandler, Andre Miller
Denver: Eric Gordon, Aaron Brooks
Pelicans need help at 3 and 5. Wizards interested in AR, PJ. Losing shooting with Webster, so Pelicans add Morrow. Houston trades Asik for serviceable pieces. Denver gets Andre Miller off the books and gets much needed help at the 2 plus a PG to help with Nate's injury.
Salaries work
Pelicans: Asik, Webster
Wizards: Rivers, Morrow, Pierre's rights

The obvious problem here is that if his NBADL game does not translate over to the NBA level, you get nothing.
Disclaimer: I am in favor of calling him up and seeing what happens. But you know what Dell is thinking. Sell high while you can.

Yea I agree it doesn't always translate, but setting records is a different story.

We have a PG that will play the majority of the minutes as well as capable backups. Calling PJ up would do nothing but hurt his stock, which is at its highest right now.
