Tori episodes don't count in continuity I think.

The Tori episodes take place in an alternate universe.

just kind of confusing that they graduated w/ Kelly & Jesse then continued sr year w/ Tori and graduated with her too

If you pay attention, alot of stuff didn't make sense when the character Tori was introduced. I do agree that it seems like everyone sorta just acted as if Jesse was not real. And it was like an alternate universe, or as if Jesse never happened. Kind of like Happy Days, early on they had that older brother. And before you know it, they wrote him out and continued without him. But this was weirder cause Jesse was a mainstay to the cast.

Ah the Tori paradox. Chuck Closterman wrote a really good piece on this and how realistic it is that certain social structures would never interact even if a few members were in both.

Here's the real reason. The show ended. Zack, Kelly, Jesse, Slater etc all graduated, it was filmed. The end.

Then NBC decided they wanted more episodes. Thiessen and Berkeley declined to come back, so they replaced her with Tori, who's a composite of sorts.

We go back and rationalize now with alternate universes and these theories, it's kind of fun and ironic. Really it was just a dumb show made for dumb kids after school in the 90s. Continuity didn't matter, and the producers didn't know the internet message board culture and all this overanlysis would exist, so they didn't care.

how about Zack, Screech and Mr Belding moving from Indiana to California together? Isn't that way weirder?

Yeah, Tori episodes are an extended multiepisode Zach dream sequence.

Didn't yet have integrated graduations at that point around 1990.

Gotta agree. Looking back, most kids' shows were understandably weak sauce - but this show was just terrible.
