I watched this for like 5 minutes before I realized majority of it is just people being dicks and hitting "select" or "start"

It took them about 10+ hours to teach cut to one of their Pokemon. The stream mod was about to intervene, but didn't.

Someone set up Pokemon Red on an emulator and decided to stream it over Twitch. However, they programmed the controls such that the emulator parses out 8 commands from the Twitch chat (A, B, right, left, up, down, start, select) and then employs these commands sequentially as actions in the game. Thus, you have 40,000+ people playing a single game of Pokemon concurrently.
It's truly remarkable that they've gotten this far. They have spent the last 20 hours making it through Route 9 and the Rock Cave, and they just arrived in Lavender Town.
It's currently one of the most watched streams on Twitch, second only to a professional match of SC2 that is currently taking place.
