What is the Financial Impact of Franchising Graham?

I don't understand "tagging" him and the financial impacts. Apparently we would be paying him without negotiations?

I say tag him as a TE. Then split the difference between TE & WR tag and sign him to long term extension...

No way he is tagged as a WR. He plays TE, he went to the pro bowl as a TE. No where is he listed as a WR. He is dreaming if the thinks he will get a WR franchise tag.

I say Tag and trade, get something for him for this years draft. We already invested so much in Brees if we invest that kind of money into 1 player again we will only hinder our team. Graham is a top10 player no doubt and he's worth top dollar but do I think we should give it to him? No I don't

I'd have to agree with tag and trade. I love the guy but having that much of our cap invested in 2 players will handcuff us.
