Throwing a couple 3 Teamers out there. If you like em, we can run with it. If you don't throw it right back.

CHI receives Eric Gordon
NOP receive Caron Butler's expiring contract, ZaZa Pachulia, Jimmy Butler
MIL receives Carlos Boozer
Why it works: Bucks offload 2 players that don't fit, Caron's just an expiring who fricks off after this season and ZaZa is stuck behind the two talented youngsters Henson and Sanders. Zaza fills Pels C void, Jimmy Butler gives perimeter defense to Pels, while EG replaces JB in Chicago and gives them a guard who can actually score. Bucks add an experienced PF to frontcourt, major upgrade over Khris Middleton and the ever-injured Ekpe Udoh.

NOP receive Javale McGee, Andre Miller, Jordan Hamilton
DEN receives Eric Gordon, Jared Dudley
LAC receive Al Farouq Aminu
Why it works: Denver gives up McGee bc he's out for season and trying to make a playoff push in Shaw's first season to prove firing Karl was right move. Denver also offloads Miller who's not even with the team right now after his "dismissal" so they get out of that sticky situation, and for their troubles the Pels get PT Wish List prospect Hamilton as a sign of good faith. Pels shore up C position for next season w/ McGee, and SF w/ Hamilton (maybe just a backup, who knows). Miller either gives Pels a savvy veteran backup PG or they buy him out nbd. LAC gives up Dudley as he's fallen out of favor w/ Clips. Btwn Dudley, Crawford, and Redick the perimeter defense lacks and Dudley is the odd man out in that scenario. Aminu gives LAC a long defender to stifle opposing SFs and bolster their front court/play emergency PF if Blake Griffin gets in foul trouble. DEN snags a solid SG + SF combo whos skill sets blend nicely into team, esp. given Gallinari's uncertain condition. Lawson-Gordon-Dudley/Chandler-Faried/Hickson-Arthur/Mosgov is a solid top 8 capable of making that 8 seed.

The clippers entire offense is 3 pt shooting and alley oops to griffin and jordan. Why in the world would they give up a decent 3 and d player for aminu? And Chicago giving up butler and boozer for Gordon? What?

Would fap so hard, but Bulls aren't getting rid of Butler especially after losing Deng.

So the Pelicans give up 2 starters for 3 backups? Don't want McGee anywhere near the New Orleans roster. He is not good and hDenver gave him one of the worst contracts in the league @ $10 mill a year. Andre Miller turns 38 next month. And Jordan Hamilton is not the answer at the SF position.

This season Jimmy Butler is shooting 37% from the field and 27% from 3. Thought you were trying to upgrade the Pelicans.

Here is why neither of those trades will work:
Bulls don't want to give up deng and get eric Gordon in return. Also, they aren't going to trade carlos boozer for Eric Gordon because it would only save them four million in cap space, but Gordon has more contract left than boozer. Bulls will either amnesty boozer or wait til next year when his humongous deal is an expiring contract.
The clippers aren't going to give up Dudley for Aminu. Also, there is no way that andre miller will want to play for the pelicans.

Jimmy Butler is probably the third best SF in the league... Dumb trade.

On his team, or in the league?

The guy gets paid nothing, is one of the best defenders in the league, and is a serviceable scorer. I imagine GM's would trip over there own two feet to get their hands on him.

I get he's on a good contract, but 3rd best in the league? So it's Durant, Lebron, Jimmy Butler? Even if you don't consider KD or LBJ 3's, you can't probably come up with 10-15 or so before you get to Butler. And 10-15 is being nice.

I'd go with Paul George, admittedly I forgot about him which is dumb. But, who else do you have? Melo is the closest it gets. I'm taking the 24 year old Butler over old, no defense playing, overpaid Melo.
