dont have link but 30 for 30 is 100% in progress, know they have filmed with a number of AD personnel including Kent Lowe. The title is something to the effect of Dale and Shaqs relatiship over past 30(hard to believe) years...
I think LSU sports may have tweeted about it but cant find

Wow, great news!

There's also a documentary out about Dale and his LSU coaching history. Called "The Man In The Mirror" . It's definitely worth watching if you can find it.
Movie is actually "Man in the Glass", not "Mirror". My error

I'd like to see the PMAC called something like "Dale Brown Court at the Maravich Center".

Loved Dale.

The night they unfurled the SEC Championship Banner in the Spring of 1979 (after a 25 year drought) still gives me chills.

The game wasn't even over, and Al Green was waving and cheering. Dale gave the signal and they dropped the banner and the place erupted.

I can still see Al Green waving

You guys need to see "Man in the Glass" if you haven't yet. It really is a great movie.

30 for 30 is ESPN, right? LSU honors should be much more substantive. The idea of one statue for Shaq is silly. The statue is a huge FB gameday draw, almost like the Tiger Cage. Why not have a bunch of them.. Would make a great fundraiser for the school too... they could probably raise $1mm per statue... Pete, Dale, Petit, Cannon, Cholly Mac, And who else? By the way, I was there for the banner drop in 79 as well. That was the Bama game where they passed our little rubber basketballs to the students 3 hours before the game and shortly afterwards the Alabama team walked into the PMAC arena to walk to their locker rooms and 90% of the balls came flying out of the stands pelting the bam a players... It was wild. Fun. And Daddy Dale deserves to have the court named after him, no?

The difference between how LSU does it and UT does it above??? Geez... How did they become largest program in terms of revenue generated with that kind of vision?

I can't believe this is the 1st time I've seen this mentioned! Great idea and well deserved too, but the NCAA wouldn't allow that. Even though Lester apologized for lying a couple years ago.

agreed....Shaq was a great LSU player for a few years and a nice ambassador for the university, but no one comes close to giving to LSU they way Daddy Dale did....I cursed him at times, but he gave his heart and soul to LSU and was pretty damn successful as well..

Dale was all and only LSU...I can't think of anyone else in his class

And the team LSU was playing that night? It was Bama. Dale got into some trouble for that stunt, but I thought it was one of the best moments in the history of LSU basketball. I still feel privileged to have seen that live and in person!

The coach for Bama was that ageless prune named Durham. He was pissed because LSU dropped the banner during the game, not when the game was over. He had a right to be upset. If I were coach I would feel the same way.

I remember that. The whole LSU attitude was "we don't care, it was awesome!"

I do as well.
