LSU QB Zach Mettenberger had to wait until early January to have his ACL repaired after suffering the injury on November 29. Mettenberger also tore his MCL, for which doctors had to wait to heal before putting him through the knee reconstruction. "I fully anticipate to be good enough to go and do a five- and seven-step drop for scouts," Mettenberger insisted, referring to pre-draft workouts. "I’ve been pushing myself really hard. I’m expecting to be fully healthy in the 4-5 month range." Mettenberger was seen as a fringe first-round prospect before the ligament tears.
Really sucks that he got injured when he did but great to hear hes progressing well, really wishing him success on the next level
I think hes going to shoot up some draft boards by draft time if he can atleast throw a little because the injury isnt really a killer for him

For those who are unfamiliar with sports rehabs, he'll be doing much more than just knee/leg work. Because he'll have been out of the gym and unable to throw for a while, he'll have to "rehab" his arm and shoulder too almost as if he had that injury too. It's extensive and a lot of work.
Here's to Zach.

to Mett. Very few Tigers get the kind of response he got when taken off the field. It's a memory I won't soon forget.

Mett has the tools to make it in the league. I'm excited to watch him try

I totally agree. He's not going to get drafted for his legs anyway. Good luck Mett.

I really wish he could play one more year for LSU.

Hope he gets picked up by the Ravens or Steelers. Similar style Qb's where he can learn for a couple of years

As long as he doesn't go to the raiders--where LSU QB's go to die

Why would you want him to go to a team with a 29 years old making 20m a year. In no fantasy world would they spend an early pick on a qb with that kind of cash invested in flacco.

Please God not the Raiders.

Really wish him well. Would have been great to see what he could do with one more year. Hope he recovers quickly and finds a great situation.

Nope. Manzeil is going to the Raiders for a short, unproductive career behind that o-line.

I hope he goes to the Cardinals.
