Does Texas Tech beating OSU last night help our RPI much at all? I am very unfamiliar as to how these rankings work and figured every little bit counts when it comes to getting us in the tourney.

If teams like Texas Tech and other wins we thought were somewhat meaningless keep winning could it improve our stock?

what would really help is not losing to teams - e.g. Georgia

A small amount- Tech really isn't playing that well. St. Joseph's is probably helping LSU's RPI more than that. On the flip side, Butler has not been particularly good.

LSU has mixed some 'good' losses (UMass, Memphis) with some really bad ones (Bama, Rhode Island). Right now, they seem like an above average seed in the NIT.

it doesnt hurt it, but yeah, our main thing is those awful losses (rhode island, bama, uga) we have zeromargin for error now. going to have to win the rest of the 'winnable games'

it would do us a huge favor to upset one of uk/uf but if we can't win in an empty stegman coliseum then i won't get my hopes up too high. @arkansas and vandy at memorial gym will be tough enough.

I prob does, but the question is how does it help in the long run? Tech beat OSU, but how long will OSU be a relevant team to beat without Marcus Smart. I wouldn't count on Tech's RPI helping out LSU to much because the rest of their schedule is brutal. They play 8 more games and 6 of them are against current top 25 teams (Kansas twice, @Oklahoma, Texas, @Iowa St., and @OSU) then throw Kansas State in there who is a NCAA Tournament team... That's a really tough month to end the season.

We still definitely can, but we have to improve our consistency drastically to have any chance. A win on the road at UK or UF is a must.

None of this is happening, we will win at aTm but lose the rest of the road games and finish 10-8 in conference. I could honestly see us finishing 9-9 again tbh. We may get invited to the CBI

KPom has LSU at 60 right now.
5-3 is a likely prediction for SEC finish. L's to UK, UF, Ark but who knows really. Wins @ TAMU and Vandy seem viable esp. considering enormous front court advantages to those games. Add in a couple W's at the SEC tourney and the Tigers should be fine.
