They are some of the finest shotguns available. Very expensive.

Do you have pictures or specifications that you can share?

Very intriguing! Try to post some pictures if you feel comfortable doing so on the OB.

This, age and condition will determine value but figure minimum $10k and depending on age and condition $50k+. New guns are $80k+...

OP it sounds like your uncle was a man of discriminating taste with regards to shotguns both in brand and gauge.

An older 28 is probably going to be a rare gun, I think the English mainly made 12's. More Purdey's listed of all gauges. Remember if you went to a dealer they would offer good money, but nothing near the retail prices...

They are considered crap and totally unsafe to shoot. I'll be nice and give you fiddy bucks for it.

Well, keep, your eyes peeled for me a Python.

You think 4 or 6?

I guess a 6 stainless would be badass, plus I don't reckon I need both kidneys.

The blue 6" is THE classic Python. Hard to go wrong with that if you are only going to have one.

The 4" is sportier looking.

The 3" is $$$$$$.

The 2 1/2" is in demand but I personally don't like them as well.

The 8" is the least popular.
