Male genitalia doesn't make a person male

So if a person is born a male with male parts but views himself as a woman, it's politically incorrect to say that he was born a man?

When one allows the Libs to drive the bus, don't be surprised when we all end up in a ditch. Crazy town!

MARC LAMONT HILL: ...[F]or me Piers, the bigger issue isn't the use of language. It's the fact that so much of the interview centered around the sensational aspects – about genitalia. There's so much more about trans life, trans experience, that I wanted you to cover.... MORGAN: No, wait a minute – wait a minute, okay?...I never mentioned her genitalia at all ever in either interview. You're the first to mention. I didn't mention this. HILL: Well, when you say – well, look, you alluded to it when we talk about – if you talk about surgery and when you talk about saying a boy until 18. It implies that she – her womanhood is attached to surgeries- AMY HOLMES: She had surgery! BEN FERGUSON: She was a boy! HILL: That was a very dangerous point- FERGUSON: She was a boy!... HILL: Trans identity does not hinge upon surgery. You can have a penis and still be a woman – a trans-woman. That's the point.

I'm pretty sure that's the defining characteristic.

Apparently not anymore?

gender =/= sex
ETA: i agree with the premise that a person born with a dick is a male. Whether or not they identify with being a male is a different story

I would argue that sex is determined by chromosome analysis. XX=female XY=male.
Certain hormonal disorders in utero or in very young children can cause hermaphrotism, and it isn't always so easy to determinr the true sex.

Its the defining characteristic unless they have ovaries at the same time or other female organ/part due to genetic abnormalities.
But male/female as defined is about the existence of these physical parts that are easily understood.
Maybe some day in the future they may prove some type of "physical" cause via body chemistry or gene, but until then the definition based on physical properties stands.

Please be careful. I would venture forth a guess that many of the posters that this board viewed as liberal view these things as ridiculous.
So, you have one guy who wants to be a girl and he has the right to go into the girls room so he feels better and makes the 150 girls who work there feel uncomfortable. I think many of the so called liberals on this board would say this is ridiculous.

Every religious nutbag gets labeled as conservative. It's just the thing to do.

Gender is not biological. The distinction between males and females is entirely a cultural one. For example, culture expects women to wear dresses and have long hair. Culture expects men to have short hair.

I do wonder how long until we have Trans-Men and Trans-Women bathrooms on top of the usual Men and Women. Or is the existence of the 3rd and 4th bathroom going to be discriminatory?
Yikes.

If I'm not mistaken, male/female refers to the biological sex, while man/woman refers to the gender.

Somebody better tell Nature that they fricked up big time.
Again, liberal stupidity at its finest.
Up is now down.

So someones gotta help me here. Are they saying their is a stereotypical male and female in which transgenders associate themselves as? If not basing it on genitalia, I'm going to start calling all transgenders sexist.

Who cares. the point is moot.
If a trans wants to be called a she, and considers herself a girl, frick it no skin off my back. Just be civil.
Its amazing how people can't just be civil.

This fricker does not get the priviledge of deciding to change the meaning of well defined words in our common lexicon. frick him and every other liberal POS that does this. The assault on language, and the thoughts that are associated with the meaning of words, is just getting out of hand.
Political correctness is OUT OF CONTROL. What will it take to turn the tide?
