With Auburn coming in Saturday

Now smack dab in the middle of the pile of stink shite that is the middle tier of The SEC.

So fricking dissapointing

Agreed. I really thought this was the game we would "grow up" and join the elite of the SEC. I'm still far from giving up, but this team has got to learn to play defense on the road. It seems like we always wait too long to press. I wish they would try pressing right out of the gate to build a lead. It is like we don't even try playing press defense until we are down by 8-12 points.

I'm also in shock we got absolutely dominated in the paint tonight. With our front court talent, we should NEVER be dominated in the paint.

I'm pretty close to giving up. Not impressed with jones coaching abilities at this point. He seems to be a protege of dale brown-All recruiting and rah rah but virtually no coaching during the game. Talent will make him look better than he is.

Sure it does. I won't argue with that, but there are a lot of talented "young teams" in this day on age of college basketball. Like I said, I won't give up on them until the bitter end, but I would like to think that at this point in the season we would see a little more progression. A very, very average Georgia team should not be beating us by double digits-even at their place. I would bet that Johnny Jones is thinking the same thing. Hopefully he fixes the problem fast, because we can probably only afford maybe one more loss this year. That loss better not be to anyone other than FL or KY or we are screwed.

He is obviously pissed, but I do agree with him. While the team is mostly young, they should still be winning these games on the road. It is not like we are in the ACC. GA was very beatable. I don't care how young we are. Younger teams have won the whole enchilada!

Not blaming it for the loss, but seriously SEC officiating is horrible and there is actual statistical evidence:

Tuesday, UK @ LSU: 39 FT attempts (and several came in the final minute or so)

Saturday, Arkansas @ LSU: 43 FT attempts

Tonight, LSU @ UGA: 68 FT attempts

Sorry, but there's no way officiating crews should vary by that damn much from week to week. It's absurd. The new rules were "supposed" to make officiating more consistent, but to me they've basically done the opposite. LSU sucked tonight plain and simple, but it's frustrating to see officiating this bad.

Young team is the lamest fking excuse in the book. Several of these guys have been playing together for a while. It's a cop out to cover the inexplicable up and down nature of this team. After watching them manhandle a better Arky team last Saturday, there's no way we should let a mediocre team like Georgia school us like this!

Young team isn't the problem, I still honestly believe the problem is players from the TJ regime (and there are still several of them) aren't fully buying into CJJ's changes all the time. There are nights were JOBIII comes out and looks like a definite NBA player, then there are nights (tonight being a prime example) where he just looks lazy and stubborn. Hickey can kind of be the same way.

We are not a young team, but we're still a bubble team. We'll bounce back and forth between the last 8 out and the last 8 in for the rest of the year.

Seperating from the pack in the SEC ain't much of a accomplishment. The most mediocre BB league of the major schools.
