What's the real story here? Kids gets tossed from school b/c pregnancy?

Did I read this right?
Kid gets scholarship to Vermillion Catholic School paid for by a 'sponsor.' When he gets hurt and can't play, they expel him for 'maybe' getting two girls pregnant.
Does this smell funny or did I miss something? I am guessing kid is black, girls are not, and school is mostly white, but don't know.

Not a lawyer/don't know what's said in the suit, but it's my understanding that if they are going with the civil rights angle, those things have some teeth to them.

No clue about previous warnings or not ... And he was a damn good player. He was injured early in the 2012 season and expelled I think during the mardi gras or Easter break of 2013 ... I remember thinking that was perhaps a good thing that happened during the break. Other students could let the shock wear off.
I heard he had been living with the family of one of the girls .. Not sure which or if its true.
Had 1 in high school at the time but not the same grade or crowd.
