Is making jalapeño corn bread as simple as adding some chopped jalapeños to my current corn bread recipe? I have some pickled jalapeños from the garden that I can use.
TIA.
TIA.

It's that simple. Add a can of creamed corn and some cheese too.

Try this one I put in the Recipe Book. It is very simple and good:
Mexican Corn Bread
Ingredients:
2 slightly beaten eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup oil
1 can cream style corn
1.5 cups self rising corn meal
1 t salt
3 T chopped green onion
1 or 2 diced jalapeno peppers
1 cup grated sharp cheddar
Method:
Mix all ingredients but cheese. Pour 1/2 of mix into a hot iron skillet or a baking dish. Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese of the dish.Add the rest of the mix, and then the rest of the cheese. Bake at 425 for 25 minutes until it is set and the top is golden.

Fresh japs are better than pickled ones. If you use them id make sure they are dry

I just do layers and add lots of butter. I like a sweeter cornbread to offset the spice and butter.
so good.
so good.

He wondered through my rock pile this morning...he's the same as always...mumbling incoherently and waving a gun around. He left without hurting anybody.
