First time going to Hangout Fest this year, what do i need to know?

i know this thread is waayyy too early, but im excited about hangout, just ordered my tickets last week.
so what do i need to know about hangout? any major do's or donts?
im not too concerned with sneaking in booze because i dont drink, but just curious to what security is like? prices of stuff?
how is the shuttle after the day ends? I am on the east shuttle to get back to our house each night?
just pointing out, i dont go to music festivals often, so what may be blaringly obvious to you may not be to me.
is this just your regular music fest?

Bring sunscreen and a hat and a water bottle, prices are normal for a music fest. I would keep any potential pots smoking towards the middle of the crowds. I've never had a problem, but just to be on the safe side. Lots of water, other than that its pretty standard.

do they only have bottled water? or water fountain type things available anywhere?

I went the second year and had a good time but from what I've heard, the security has gotten pretty tight.

I went the second year and saw people arrested for smoking pot. Make sure you have transportation to and from the beach, I had to hitchhike a bunch to get back to the marina (I was staying on a boat). It can be troublesome getting a cab.

Dat's about it. Oh yeah, and do some research on the bands. Pick out one song from their first album and act like it's the greatest thing ever. Then act all indignant because they didn't play it and accuse everyone around you of not being "true fans". This will endear you to the crowd around you.

Terrible advice. DO NOT dance or nod your head, it will ruin the good time for those around you. If you see someone else doing this, politely ask them to stop. If they don't, get security.
