And Oregon is no slouch! Kid didn't have an LSU offer, but Oregon is a fine 4ish year destination.

I really like the way JC handles the recruitment of their kids. They don't lie to coaching staffs and they take their time and check out all the schools. I know people have trashed on JC in the past for hating LSU, but from what I have seen they handle recruitment the right way.
