I haven't been to the original George's under the overpass in many moons. Is it still decent? If not, suggest some place in the same general area. Is Burgersmith a decent option? (I'm so old it will always be the Caterie to me.) TIA, y'all.

George's is good, but I'd go to Chelsea's if I'm right there.

It's not bad.

Like others have said, George's is pretty low on the list right around there. Chelsea's, DiGuillio Bros., City Pork, Street Breads... several better food options.

That's pretty apples to oranges, to georges.

DiGuilio's looks more like a "real" restaurant...I'm looking for a more casual, quicker lunch. I appreciate the current BR intel, thanks. City Pork's menu looks interesting.

Chelseas is my favorite restaurant in BR. If you are right there, Id suggest Chelseas.

Haven't been there since it was the Colonel's Club. Damn, I am old.

I'm a big fan of Burgersmith. City Pork is really good. Street Breads is pretty good too. Chelsea's is kind of hit or miss -- I used to go there a lot, but I had a couple of weak meals there. But the chicken mojo poboy is always solid. Again, all of those places are better bets than George's and they're in the same price range.

Is not better than George's. I do like Chelsea's, City Pork, Digiulio's and Burgersmith.

No love for Rama in this area? Or even Pinettas? Haven't been to City Pork but I'd pick all the others named above before Georges. Not that Georges is bad but there are better options in that area for sure.

I do as well from time to time. Lot of options in the area. Parrains does a good lunch even Galitiores and Acme. Hell Jubans does a not expensive good lunch. And I know I'm getting beyond George's price point I'm just making note of the surroundings. Frankie's Dawg house too but it's proud of the dogs. I like them a lot though.
