I have had them charge but they always slam on the brakes before actually getting to me. This was with dogs as they were bayed up. My big arse can climb a tree fast when one turns my way.

Said it actually bit his calf, I guess the tusks dug in when he latched on?

I have been charged and seen pigs charge and get minor scuffs but that is the worse I have seen on a human.

Sometimes you eat the boar, and sometimes the boar eats you

Hard to believe he didn't feel the pain at first; that's a deep gash.

oh god

half the OB is already afraid of hogs, now the other half is about to start carrying in the woods for fear of a hog stalking them to eat them and their family

Who was that poster who said he never walks in the woods with a firearm and there's no reason to fear wild boars?

I have sliced through my jeans and my thigh, shallowly thankfully, with a boars tusk when his head swung loose while loading his dead body into the back of the truck.

I have also had a small piglet draw blood when it bit the crap out of my poorly placed thumb while showing him to my boys.

They can do same damage and can do it quickly.

Wasn't me, but I would say that. I don't always walk in the woods with a firearm and I don't fear hogs.
