Since the season is now over, let's see how everyone did. I am wondering what parts of the state did the best.

I hunted mostly SELA marshes (Pointe Aux Chene, Salvador, and Pass a Loutre). We had a pretty average season which I am pleased with after talking to other hunters in the area. I was on 24 hunts which killed a total of 296 ducks. We had really good hunts down the river and did fair to decent on the other two WMA's. Lots of teal, gadwall, and pintail (the usual for the area).

Let's hear how everyone else's season went and what part of the state you're in.

ETA: Average number of hunters was probably 3. But we did have a few hunts with 4 people.

i personally killed 50 total this yr on 20 hunts. hunted mainly basin, Yancy, Biloxi. about 2/3 of my ducks were woodies, rest grays and BWT with a few one-ofs.

i made 4-5 hunts with my brother (who had shoulder surgery in oct and could not shoot). rest were solo hunts.

Might want to get your calculator out for that one.
That is 50 limits of teal in a short season.

1st week was garbage, but after the teal hit, we limited out for I think 8 or 9 straight days.

200 (+/- 10-15) during big duck. Not sure how many hunts but averaging 3 hunters in the marsh. Also hunted a few times in the delta and the basin.

First 2/3 of second split was bangup hunting. Last 1/3 was terrible. Only hunted twice during first split due to school. 90% of what we kill are greys, and the greys just didn't come down this year like I thought they would've. Though we did pretty well considering, our neighbors didn't do well at all, and most people I know that hunt in our area didn't do very well. There were a couple spots here and there that were holding birds and people would do well, but it seems the majority had a tough go at it.
