Seems like the biggest advantage is the constant nagging for you to renew your annual membership after only 5 months since you joined.
Really makes me feel important that they want me as a member so badly. Surely they don't do this to everybody.

I personally haven't researched that myself...I honestly first joined to provide money to a lobbyist to protect my 2nd Amendment rights.
Honestly. I feel there is more power from a lobbyist organization than I have as a single individual.

Yep they can be a PITA but without them Obama and Bloomberg have a better chance of getting whatever guns you may still have after all of those horrible boat accidents. They are probably the most effective lobby in DC.
